Sorry I'm speek english with automatical translator :)

I'm install v0.7.9 as recommended.
It works, but 314 products from my store go away. I lost my store?
All the same I hope that records probably to restore, instead of to do anew.

There is a serious problem. The encoding of Adminpanel (utf-8) clashes with the my database encoding (cp1251_global_ci).
Such conflict was not for version 0.7.7.
All records cannot be read: http://www.velomax.lviv.ua/store/home
It can be solvedd or it is necessary to downgrade to v0.7.7 ?

Whether developers can definitively solve this "russian" problem?  :)

It is not a problem with Opencart. It is problem with settings of your MySQL server.
I installed Russian language on localhost many times and never have had any problem with encoding.

My DB is in cp1251_global_ci
I changed nothing in a database.
It worked one jear with v 0.7.7
After upgrade to version 0.7.9 there were problems.

Well I don't understand the problem

I just installed 0.7.9final
I then installed the russian language pack for 0.7.7
Then I added a russian entry for my Product 1
And It shows just fine on the catalog.

DB encoding is utf8_unicode_ci so I'd suggest you update your encoding.
