Hi,
I have a bug in opencart where my store only emails certain email addresses and not others.
For example, if i set the store owner email address to xxx@btconnect.com or xxx@store_domain.co.uk the store owner does not receive any automated emails for new orders etc. However, if I set the email address to xxx@kent.ac.uk or a googlemail address the emails work fine.
Likewise if I make an account on my online store using either btconnect.com or store_domain.co.uk as the email address, they dont receive emails for orders or emails sent from the mail function in the backend of the store. But my other email accounts do fine.
Previously I didnt encounter any problems with this when using v1.3.4, however since i upgraded to v1.4 these problems have occured and i'm using exactly the same settings as before, which is the mail function not Smtp. My site is on a linux server which meets all the requirements.
I have no idea why this is happening and have not seen anyone report the same problem.
Does anyone else have this or know how it could be solved? Thanks.
Hey Craig. Yes! I have the problem too. I didn't even cotton on to the messages reaching hotmail or gmail until I read your post here.
I'm afraid I have no idea about the possible cause or remedy to this, sorry, but you have at least given me a workaround that I can use.
I don't do outbound emails at the minute as this is a new project for me so I will just direct everything at my hotmail account. Hopefully by the time I get further we will have some insight into the cause and the cure.
I'll keep checking back here and see how things are going.
Naturally, in the unlikely event that I find a fix for this, you guys will be the first to know!
thanks
Pete
