Hi All

I installed Opencart on a new site and has error at admin log in as follow.
Can anyone advise how to resolve this?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: htmlspecialchars_decode() in /home/www/myfreehostingweb/store/library/environment/request.php on line 71

Is this a bug or it is something related to my installation setting?

Thanks
Jason

Technically OpenCart currently requires php 5.2+
The htmlspecialchars_decode was added in 5.1.0

It sounds as tho your host has php 5.0. They should have really upgraded to php5.2 with the GoPHP5 initiative.

However, I think hm2k is looking into a way to support different versions with different compatibility checks...

so sit tight and lets see what he can whip up.

You should really upgrade your PHP version to 5.2 or above.

See: http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/function.h ... decode.php
(PHP 5 >= 5.1.0)
This means it requires PHP 5.1 or above for the function to work.

I will however include some backwards compatibility in future releases.

This has been addressed in the latest SVN version.
