I assume the purpose is to show real, live websites that have chosen opencart.
I checked the first 10 pages, and found 1 real site, and 119 theme demos.
Is that on purpose?
The theme developers already seem to have several venues to feature their themes (contests, the extensions directory, etc). Additionally, I think people considering opencart would expect that page to show active ecommerce sites that are selling and shipping product.
Asking because I considered submitting our site, but as it stands, it seems like it would get lost in the sea of theme demos.
