Okay, so I read a ton of posts and cannot solve 1 issue.

I copied the manufacturer section to theme (shop by theme). Worked out everything on the backend and all is well there. I can add any product to a theme with no issue.

BUT when I view the front end - http://www.scifi-collector.com/shop-by-theme - for some stupid reason I cannot figure out, it is not restricting the display to the theme I've set. Right now I only have 1 product each set for theme > doctor who and one for theme > harry potter. BUT all products regardless of theme is showing if you click on the links :( Double checked and the manufacturer pages I copied are showing correctly - only showing the products set to that manufacturer like they should, so I'm really stuck on why it won't work correctly for theme :(

I copied the manufacturer.php (in model & controller) and template manufacturer_info.tpl and manufacturer_list.tpl renaming them themex.x and renamed everything within them from manufacturer to theme matching case as well.

Any idea what I'm missing???

Yes, that is the issue.

Files are attached - thanks! I renamed them to model-theme.php and controller-theme.php for clarity, though they are both just theme.php in the correct folders on my server of course.

Couldn't figure out how to add 2 files to the message, so here is the controller file.

these are the back-end model and controller file. attach the front-end controller and model file.
you can upload multiple attachments by clicking on "add the file" button again.

Solved thanks to ChetanCx (a BIG thank you!)

For anyone else trying to do this...what I missed was 2 lines in catalog/model/catalog/product.php where filter_manufacturer_id is defined. I needed to copy those 2 manufacturer lines and change "manufacturer" to "theme" in all places and now it works! Yippee!!
