Fancybox for Opencart 2.0.1.1

Any tips on how to install this? I have zero JS/Jquery experience...

I'm trying to follow along with this video right now, but because it's for dreamweaver and not opencart, I'm having a little bit of trouble. I input all the custom code into the custom JS of the Journal theme that I'm using, but it doesn't work. I'm trying to link pictures in the description sections of my product pages.

If anybody could give me any pointers, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
