I'm using Opencart 1.4.9.1 and testing "Contact Us" but i couldn't receive an e-mail

I changed my E-mail address at System - Settings - General - Email.

Should i change something more?

In admin > system > settings > email tab have you set the mail or smtp protocol? I other instances does the emailing works? (like when a user places an order, do you receive the email?)

i don't see "smtp protocol" in my admin setting. Im using 1.4.9.1 version of Opencart.

Even when a user places an order, i couldn't receive the email

That is weird, in 1.4.x those settings should be there. Asked the person who modified your store. If that is not an option, contact your hoster and ask them to turn on php mail function.

You could browse the setting table, see if the key config_mail_protocol exists and if it has the value mail.

i decided to remove it and make a new Contact us form.
i want to remove "contact us" menu in information tab manually(edit file in FTP)
. Not in the Admin Dashboard.

i know i can Insert and Delete at Admin-Catalog-Information. but there is no "contact us" menu, so i want to know which file should i modify in FTP?
