Shipping problem

I am in the United States, and want to ship according to a scale...

$7.95 shipping for orders under $75.
Free shipping for orders over $75.

I tried shipping by weight, and making the weight the same as the price of goods, then making the shipping zone: 1:7.99,75:0

Problem is, when trying to do a test transaction and checking out, it's not working.

Is it because I am in the US? When adding the shipping option, I see this: UK VAT Zone Status.

I was able to add the US option, so I got half of it...

Now, the problem is how do I make a range for the zone... everything from $0 to $75 is $7.95 shipping. Everything from $75 to ? is free shipping.

The default Zone Shipping only suppors weight based calcs. So you can't trigger by a certain price range.

I created a contrib called Zone Shipping Plus for opencart 0.x that supports what you are after. I will see about porting it to 1.x

There's nothing to PM about. As I said in my last post, it is for "0.x" not "1.x". I will look into porting it

I am having a problem installing Zone Shipping Plus I have followed the instructions.. but when I click the + symbol I get an error saying I don't have permissions.. any ideas on how I can fix this?

are you installing this on the latest 1.18 build?

As far as I know yes.. I bypassed the install by running the example_data.sql and it was installed no problems.. but when I try to configure I get the same permissions error

I just checked my files and realized that the version is opencart_v0.7.8

im sry im not familiar with this.. is this the newest version?

and f not can I update the version without losing any data?
