Weight Based and Individual Drop Ship
Hi guys,
I'm currently finishing of a website for a client and have hit a brick wall.
The site is currently using the in built weight based shipping module for UK mainland and various EURO zones.
The client has various items however which are drop shipped and have a FIXED delivery price per item.
How can I combine the inbuilt weight based part of OpenCart with the drop ship delivery prices.
I can obviously set the weight to 0kb for anything drop shipped so this doesn't effect the weight based calculations but I need a way of adding on the drop ship delivery costs.
I've spent ages browsing extensions and Googling but I just can't find anything that merges multiple delivery types
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Weight Based and Individual Drop Ship
DONT THINK YOU CAN MIX (WELL I TRIED AND COULD'NT) THE TWO BUT A CHEAT IS AS FOLLOWS:
On Product page where cost/item applies select requires shipping: No
Either add cost of shipping to product cost and say with free shipping or:
Give product an option of collect at store (cost 0) or shipped (£5.00)
Give product a wt of 0.00001
and in wt based shipping enter 0.01:, at the beginning of the rates.
This will stop weight based from adding a further shipping cost to the order unless a product is also entered which has wt based shipping applied to it!
You'll have to mention on the product page of cost per item that the item/s will be shipped to the payment address!

Re: Weight Based and Individual Drop Ship
I use weight based shipping for everything and add any extras like a drop ship handling charge the manufacturer charges me into the price of the item. Usually the shipping is close - sometimes I lose a little profit - but it's easier and balances out in the end as other items I make more on the shipping

Re: Weight Based and Individual Drop Ship
You could use Product-Based Shipping to set weight-based rates for the general products, and other types of rates for the special products. You can then combine them by giving them the same "Sort Order" and setting the Multi Rate Calculation to "Sum".
