Looks like your images are too small. Ideally they should be at least the size of the banner space with your content centered. Check you've also set the banner module instance to be the correct dimensions. Try using the default banner that's comes with a fresh Opencart install and replace the images with ones of your own at the same dimensions.

From what i can see, my banner size is W 600 x H 200, im assuming that is in pixels ?, i made a test canvas in photoshop in pixels of that size and it looks a lot smaller than the banner container on the site. The images i loaded into the banner in opencart are W 3000 x H 2400 pixels, so possibly the banner is not measured by pixels, so if i am correct my images are much bigger than the banner size, the size of the pictures i can see on my site are ok, i wouldnt mind the slideshow images to be a little bit bigger, it seems the pictures have been shrunk to fit in the banner.

The theme is built on a responsive framework. The banners adapt to fit the space. You can make the banner/space higher but if you want it wider you have to change the size of the container. After years of workign on Opencart and various versions, themes and frameworks my motto is stick as near as you can to deafult. That motto serves me well. I personally would use the default banners and "paint over them" with my required artwok.

On the admin menu go "Design/Banners" and create a banner instance called "Home Page Slideshow". Select the images as per the demo. After that go "Extensions/Modules/Slideshow". Create a module instance at 1140px wide by 380px high using the Home Page Slideshow banner you created. Assign that to the top of the home page template and job's a goodun.

If you've deleted the demo banner images you can get them from the Opencart demo:

If you're still stuck consider helping a poorly paid professional via the commercial support forum. :)
