is it possible to generate customer ID?
so after a customer is registering, i can see in the customer admin area this customer with a customer number. and this number will appear in invoices and
delivery notes etc.
There is a way to display the customer ID in the OC admin's customers page. However, I would not suggest showing the customer ID on the invoice in order to maintain confidentiality of your customers. There might be available extensions on the Marketplace that would already allow merchants to see the customer IDs from the admin - > customers page. I would suggest to use the Marketplace's search engine to find out.

Maybe customer ID is a bit misleading, let’s say customer number! Usually a customer likes to know his customer number. Especially if problems turn up, the customer likes to call customer support or hotline and presents his customer number.
That would normally be linked to an incident request fulfilled by the customer. There are extensions available for this on the Marketplace where incident tickets can be submitted to the store owners.

i found one which could help me but after installation and refreshing modifications i still cannot see the promised customer ID in the admins customer area.

But the mentioned extension is (only) for 2.3.0.2 - cannot work therefore!
