- i renamed it back to .httaccess.txt
now i tried to do it all over again, but it won't let me. it keeps going back to original file which is .httaccess.txt
is there a way i can copy the original httaccess file (if there is one available on here) and upload it to mine?

i forgot to mention that i was trying to enable the seo url that's why i had to rename the .httaccess.txt file to .httaccess but was carelessly saved it with the period (.) left out on the file...
i had it saved it like this ---> .httaccess. instead of ----> .httaccess
What did you use to rename it? If, for some reason, it doesn't allow you to rename it using what you used before try your webhost provided "file manager" or the like. Most host based file managers allow you to manipulate files almost in every way.
cue4cheap not cheap quality
