Hello guys,

I decided to ask for help regarding the SMTP settings issue, it does not work completely.
Thousands of people have a problem with this, there are even paid plugins that sometimes don't work either.

Why doesn't anyone care about this? I don't know.

I have tested this with different modules and versions of PHP from5.6 - 7.2
I have tested with TLS, SSL and different ports, still does not work
Mail Parameters (-f email) doesn't work also
Hosting administrators do not block any ports

I spent a week on this and it still does not work
You are my last chance.

This is my problem:
Warning: fsockopen(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/premium1/public_html/system/library/mail/smtp.php on line 87Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://dionysus.krystal.co.uk :465 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) in /home/premium1/public_html/system/library/mail/smtp.php on line 87

what should you pay attention to ??
Any solution will be appreciated

I managed with that :)
after a week of struggling with this issue, moments after I published this post.

I was inspired by some post on the other forum, there was:

that instead of SMTP Hostname: ssl: //dionysus.krystal.co.uk try to enter dionysus.krystal.co.uk (without ssl prefix) if this webamail is running at this address.
In my case, the webmail was not at this address.
That's why I logged in to the webmail and there was a alternative mailbox configuration.

I should officially use the server: dionysus.krystal.co.uk
alternatively with the name of my domain: mail.mydomain.com

So if you have hosting on krystal.co.uk, you should put name of your domain as a SMTP Hostname

My SMTP configuration now is:

Mail Engine: SMTP
Mail Parameters: (leave it empty)
SMTP Hostname: ssl: //mail.your_domain.com
SMTP. Username: sales@your_domain.com - just yor email
SMTP Password: (your_passwd)
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Timeout: 6

Hope this helps you
