Hi Everyone,

I've been using version 2.3 for a few years and just bought a new template that supports version 3. I was excited to deploy the latest version on my server and before I could even start on the template installation, I realized the latest version's Admin is taking long time to process whenever I update information.

Here's the situation:
v2.3 deployed in subdomain (/shop), separate DB
- Front/admin page is loading fast (less than 1 second)
- Saving information takes about 1 second or less

v3 deployed in a subdomain (/shop2), separate DB
- Front page is loading fast (about 1 second)
- Admin dashboard loads in about 5 seconds
- Loading System > Settings : Moderate speed (still kind of acceptable)
- Edit System > Settings : Clicking on "Save" button takes about 10 seconds
- Loading Catalog > Categories : Speed is fast
- Edit one of the Category : Clicking on "Save" button takes about 30-50 seconds

Haven't got to other parts of the system as trying to make some updates here is already testing my patience!

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, what help do you need? ::)
Possibly just a faster Server, to handle the slightly different v.3.x new ways,
to make it work, as you are used to. And if you don't like it, just keep, what
you already used since possibly mid 2016 :D
It's like moving up with Windows, every new Edition needs a little more CPU

Thought that my current server spec could still handle the latest version since there was no given recommended spec specifically for OC v3.x. Didn't think that the new version requires much more resources. (isn't OC considered lightweight in comparison to others ?)

What kind of specification would you recommend ?
Currently running on 2Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM
