Affiliate Tracking Link For Homepage

Hi there,

For the opencart shop i am building i would like to edit the Affiliate tracking page and add a homepsge link affiliates can grab, instead of creating a tracking link thats product specific. The default system seems to be set up quite efficient for product specific links but not very user friendly for creating a general tracking link.

I used the search and all the ''working'' fixes are for older OC releases and the codes in those topics are not corresponding to the current system.

If anyone could help out that would be awesome!

Essentially you should be able to add the tracking URL variable to any URL like this:
www . yourshop . com/any-link-you-like/?tracking=5065c5509cf1d

My goal is essentially to replace the tracking generator with a single, copyable link that includes their custom tracking code, eg; ''http://mydomain/home/tracking=738949548''

We have a high turnover rate of products and each product has only 1 in stock, making product specific tracking links useless when the product sells out. I want to replace it with a tracking link that links to the homepage but still includes their tracking number. Also i want to make this easily copyable eg; textbox with ''http://mydomain/home/tracking=738949548''

The post made by user ocmta and the piece of code he posted does not work in my OC 3 system. But it is essentially what i am trying to do.
