Extra field in product data

Hi,
I would like to add a new field in the data section of the products along side the SKU, MPN, UPC etc.
Ideally a row below the model line for a store product number. This is so that a specific number can be entered
as a product number so that it can be used to consolidated all the different model, sku, mpn etc from suppliers.
I want to be able to have a better method of linking different suppliers numbers so it will be easier to locate the
supplier and order the product for the customer.
This is mainly for a dropshipping type system

You can add this field to your custom code in admin controller, model, view and language file. You can also add one field in product table regarding the same, Add field using vqmod.
