Hi, I am using version 3.0.2. I have installed paypal pro extension and paypal express checkout extensions. This gives me 2 payment options of 'Paypal Express' and 'Debit or Credit Card'.

All works fine in Firefox. When I test Paypal Express Checkout in Chrome for , I get the paypal login popup ok but I cant login and I get an error 'Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.'

If I then manually add the Express Checkout to the page content (which previously I didnt have to do, as the button automatically appeared), I now get a second Paypal Express button and if I click this one I get the paypal popup and I can login OK.

It seems the button I manually added to the content works fine, but the button generated by the system doesnt work. As mentioned, this only happens in Chrome. I am using Chrome v65.

Any ideas how I can use the button generated by the system for Paypal Express Checkout. Thanks.

By using the Developers Kit from Google Chrome (F12 function on your keyboard), when using the PayPal Express button that returns the error message, do you see any error messages as well showing in the console tab of the Developers Kit?

Hi tks for your help. I have since found that the problem is to do with shipping. If the item bought has 'No Shipping' in admin - it all works fine. If there is a shipping component, it fails in paypal express popup with error as before. Only in Chrome - too. As mentioned, if I place the Express button on the page as content, it works fine, but suspect this is because there is no shipping assigned to this button.

Checked dev tools no errors shown. I did see this but under warnings but understand this is for chrome version later this year.

I also like the Paypal Express Checkout and PayPal Pro combination of extensions as I then get the 2 radio buttons with either to choose from.

Any help greatly appreciated. I need to charge shipping.

What is the warning message?

I have made more research regarding the PayPal Express Checkout API and SSL usage. This could be an addressed issue. In catalog/model/extension/payment/pp_express.php file,

find:

Code: Select all

CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST => 0,
add right below:

Code: Select all

CURLOPT_SSLVERSION, 6
noticing the differentiation by setting the TLS version to v1.2. Source: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/301 ... ng-in-curl
