At the beginning, i just want to add a home link and external link to menu bar.
so i open "menu.twig" and add some link after
,
like this:

FAQ

and upload to server.

and then i go back to admin panel, clear theme and SASS cache.

But when i go back to my website, all categories are gone (disappeared) except the link which i was add.

so i go back and upload the original file to website and hope it can go back to normal.

However, it become nothing, every disappeared. all category is disappeared!!!

Anyone can help me? i didn't know why the category is disappeared even i have upload back the original file to server.

No OC version posted, no URL / screenshot posted for the actual issue. Revert to the default theme and see if the same issue can be reproduced.

As for the disappearance of the categories themselves, see in your admin - > catalog - > categories if the category list do show.

Hi, i was using opencart 2.0.3.0 version.

The categories is there before i add the add.

After i add the code. i only see FAQ external link, other categories is disappeared.

If i delete the FAQ external link, then will show nothing...the menu.twig will not go back to normal (show the categories)

Switch back to the default theme and see if the same issue can be reproduced and also clear all OC cache from the OC admin by going to your admin - > dashboard - > blue icon and from your admin - > extensions - > modifications - > refresh button.

Yes, i refresh the extension's modification and dashboard's theme and SASS cach. the problem is still there.
Even though i re- upload a new menu.twig. it not work...

I have re- set up a new opencart 2.0.3.0 again and tried to add external link again. the problem will appear again. and can not be solved.

Not wanting to point out the obvious, but are the categories you wish displayed in the menu set to be displayed in the menu?

Edit category I nadmin
Data tab
Option 'Top' is checked
?

After re-uploading the old twig file, be sure to clear your caches

In admin - Dashboard, click on cog at top-right

Also clear your cache from your admin - > extensions - > modifications - > refresh button.
