Hi!

I am trying to disable the function to send email on order update, in the file catalog\controller\mail\order.php I find a few functions, add, edit and alert.

As I understand it the function add is supposed to send mail when a new order is made, the function edit is supposed to send mail when a order is edited, and the alert function sends mail to admin when(?)? On new order? Edit order? Both?

When I comment out the //$mail->send(); at the end of the function add, no mail is sent, not to customer, not to admin.
When I comment out the //$mail->send(); at the end of the function edit, mail is sent, to customer, to admin.

What I want is to:
Send mail to customer and admin when a new order is made
Send mail to admin when an order is edited

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the link is dead.
Has anyone figured out how to stop order edit mails from being sent?
