Hi all,

We did professional tests on new version of open cart and results are shocking as Magento takes less resources than v3.0 of opencart, therefore we don't recommend anyone to upgrade or install v3 of open cart as it seems to me developers lost the plot with latest version of opencart.

Also you do get various errors in errors logs:

Code: Select all

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function isLogged() on a non-object in /home/****/catalog/controller/affiliate/account.php on line 4
no one is activated the affiliate module!

Agree that V3 is bloated somewhat, but to say..."Magento takes less resources than v3.0 of opencart" is a little over the top.
When I start Magento the lights go out downtown.

besides, if this constitutes your "professional" ability...

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function isLogged() on a non-object in /home/****/catalog/controller/affiliate/account.php on line 4

Better consider a different profession.
would you not agree?

In short:

1) version 3 is fine
2) Kill the guy who chose twig to replace tpl, I would love to watch.
3) Still some unnecessary stuff being executed but it works.

My main concern is that the forum is more about selling than sharing...

unfortunately we have deleted our tests.Looking on the settings the opencart version 3 (as it seems to me someone can't spot that we had posted in V3 forums) is using more than opencart v2 server resources, as the test were done in the following server environment and limited to (using cloudlinux):
25% of use dedicated 8 CPUs
1Gb of allocated of RAM
10240 IOPS
10MB/s IO
25 EP
100 NPROC

it's not enough server resources as with 10 user the account was overloaded and mysql was used 100% of CPU.

haha, you are funny guy, tell me what the point to run all modules if they are not used? we do develop software and if user is not enabled module, its not running on it's own as it's not been enabled!

1. Better don't, or this place will be gone, if you kill the Boss :choke:
2. This Place here just follows the general trend on the Web.

After a while, even the last Shareware warrior will realize, that OpenCart is built
and then used, to generate Money, Cash, nothing else. And since everybody
is potentially everybody's Competitor on the Web, it's actually a plain wonder,
that some even assist for free around here. Better be aware of this, we are all
human, looking for ourselfs first !

And as more PRO something get's, the less FREE will be part of it, this is a
logical Fact as well. Especially under the aspect, that the OC PRO's are very busy,
to keep their Range of Mod's work again with latest Releases, so, they just have
not much spare time, to care about latest OC User Problems. For free, at least ... :D

It's the Price, to pay, to always belong to the First ...

if you haven't got a clue about the server specs, it's not my issue. You need to master not only English but the technology terms too.
