Version 2.5.6.4 ??
Well, if you want to make very very sure, wait for the Version 3.1.3.0 :D and get the latest ever
(Release Candidate) Junior Partner Version 1.5.6.5 instead. it's the best OC ever created anyway,
(according to my very limited OC-Knowledge! ::) ) and it makes it even easy, to just upgrade your
Software, by just overwriting
the 'faulty' default OC 1.5.6.4 Files, as listed on Github, and so fixing
all the 'Misses' found in your existing Version, without the need of any additional work.
https://github.com/opencart/opencart/tr ... 306fb75707
---
Then, just get a responsive Theme, by example like used on openshop.li, PM-NETTI is
offering for NOW FREE, it's a Default early OC-2.x Bootstrap Layout, and therefore compatible
in full with OC-2 Bootstrap Technology, so making it relativly ;) easy, to i.E. adapt Stylesheet
Files from other nice free early OC-2 Themes, to make 'em work, (i.E. GrandCMS Dark Theme)
resulting in many different Custom Layouts.
A smart Hobby-Coder could so combine OC.1.5 SYSTEM Content with OC 2 Theme Content, by use
of V-2 Mod-Ideas with an already existing Version as well. ;)
Oc2 Theme to version 1.5
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=23641

It even contains OcMod, for those, eager to (just slightly) re-write VqMod's to make them work like in OC-2.
And if one does not want to use it, because one already uses VqMod, just check this image on how to disable it.
download/file.php?id=29562
I also 'adapted' an OC-Mod Editor, among a bunch of other Test.ocmod.xml FIles, matching to my V.1.5.6.5,
if ever someone should have a need for, it makes it very easy, to edit OcMods within the Admin Modification
Main Frame Section. And rewriting VqMods would not be a problem either, just to mention this.
Still, it makes absolutely no sense, to use VqMod + OcMod combined, it's a simple plain Dual Made Cache
File Creation+Handling Overkill, just to have it said.
---
Other well-made responsive bootstrap-type Themes also exist, I am just creating a Site for each one of them,
after spending a well done 21'845'431 Seconds of my Life into adapting and testing each (free) one, I found.
Like one of my favoured, wich, exept for the system/pagination File, MODIFIES no default Files, in contrary
to some others, important to know, if one wants to remove it ever again.
OC Bootstrap - Opencart Bootstrap 3 Theme FREE !

---
My Second BigMax.ch favoured Theme is a (paid) one, it comes with a white and dark CSS File,
and it uses some 'new' techniques, when it comes to 'combine' an Output Page, by use of 'common' Section
Templates for Routines like Product Listings, List/Grid-View, Forms, Headers, and so on. This guarantees
an identical Page Layout, and any changes made in such files will so reflect in all Sections, using such Routines.
Disadvantage: Not all VqMod's can handle this type of 'doing things', on the Front View Side, as by default,
and have to be relinked, in some cases, to further do their work on some front Side Sections.
Merkent Theme technically probably one of the most PRO-Done Code Designs. PAID

---
or then something like this:
Responsive Opencart Theme T0mmic Singular Free
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=15301
---
or this: Agnes Theme Free
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=18800
---
besides of a Variety of more simple designed and mostly free Themes, found in the OC Extension Section,
and searchable by use of the keyword Responsive, but mostly not by 'standard bootstrap-type technique',
and so, im most cases, in a little 'simpler' way, to make things work, but sometimes a little harder, to make
'em look best.
---
So much to Responsiveness, it's a must, in any case. But since one should not change his Wife,
just to get one with blond Hair and Tattoos, one should not change a familiar, well running
System, just to get a new Front. Everything else is plain and likely even costly Gambling,
like with a new Wife.

At least, if you already operate on a familiar and proven solid software. Don't forget, that
none of the v.2.x Versions will likely be updated officially, as regular Service, kind of, they
are already a thing out of the past. And v.3 just does not yet offer much variety, when it comes
to Extensions or even Themes, besides of still undergoing daily changes, as you can see on
Github.com
---
But this is just my very personal opinion, based on what I experience(d) around OC, for some time already.
And since even the former famous Creator of the OC Default Themes was asking for Information around here,
on how to create uploadable Extensions/Modules for OC-3, I assume, that it will still take some Time, until
V-3 will fulfill the Expectations of those Users, looking for a broad Range of Extensions and/or Themes. :-[
At least as long, as nobody wants to tell other Dev's, how it should be done, as it looks, I assume...

But, after all, it's just my Version, not my Problem ... :D
Good Luck !
Ernie

Well then, the Saga shall continue :D I already placed THE most important install-file fix on Github,
if one plans to make a 'regular' install with this full size V-2 themed EDGE Version! But we should change
Forums, it's now not v-3 related anymore. ;D But a big Thank You :-* for the great 2 Donations anyway,
also the now for free OC2 to OC 1.5 Theme Extension only, perfect for existing 1.5.6.1+ Installations.

PS. Should be in by default or will sure be Part of the soon to come OpenShop 1.75 Admin Extension,
since you now took the great big load of me, deciding on, what it eventually should be created for .... ;)
