I am building my site using open cart 3.x
I have 7 categories that all show up and work on the store side.

On the admin side under categories they are all listed.

On the add products 2 of the categories don't show in the list when I try to add products to those categories under the link tab.

So now I'm stuck and cant add any products to those 2 categories.

Think anyone can help me? I thought it was just a setting but it all looks correct.
yes top menu is checked default store is checked.

The last reported user about this issue claimed by clearing the OC admin cache from the dashboard and from the admin - > extensions - > modification - > refresh button did resolved this issue. See if the same tactic resolves this issue. If not, ensure your added categories are active from the admin - > catalog - > categories especially if those categories do show on the category list in the admin.

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased counters are caused by posted redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.
