Whilst there is a field for 'Telephone' on the billing address step in checkout, if you then put in different details for the delivery address, there is no 'Telephone' field. How would i go about adding this field to the delivery details step?

thanks

anyone?
I think makes sense to have a phone field in delivery. On a shop I have, we get many people who buy items for other people as gifts so the delivery details won't match the billing ones.

if you guys want to make things simple, you can consider our quick checkout http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=7382. Make use of the multi language survey feature, and ask for delivery telephone there and it will be displayed on your checkout.

i sent this msg to coxy123 earlier but thought i'd post it here to illuminate what's entailed.

i understand it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal, but here's whats entailed - you can consider this both a justification for a fee and a nudge in the right direction if you wanted to try and do it yourself:

edits to guest shipping
edits to shipping address
edits to order model file
edits to guest shipping tpl
edits to shipping address tpl
edits to guest shipping tpl
edits to admin order controller
edits to admin order model
edits to admin order_info tpl
edits to admin order_invoice tpl
edits to admin order_form tpl
edits to mysql database order table

multiple edits are required for all. i would do this with a vQmod so it can be easily removed and/or applied to future updates without modifying core files permanently.

I'm guessing this would take me 4 - 6 hours - someone less experienced could take days or longer depending on your knowledge of PHP, HTML, SQL and the OpenCart framework overall.

it's really a fair amount of work. i offer free advice and fixes in the forums all the time but this isn't a simple mod to one or two lines of code so i'd want to get paid. i hope you can understand. good luck to you whatever your decision!
