No matter which payment method I use, all new orders have an order status of "Canceled".

Is this a bug?

OC 1.5.3.1
PHP 5.3.17

Look under System > Settings > Your Store > Option Tab > scroll down to Checkout and look at:

Order Status:
Set the default order status when an order is processed.

By default it is set to "Cancelled" which is bloody stupid (I mean really really dumb). Change this to "Processed" or whatever you prefer.

Thanks very much for giving me a pointer!

But the status is currently set to "Pending", not "Canceled".

It looks like I need to look inside the database and see what value is stored....

Also be sure to check your payment gateways as they have default settings for orders too.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Yupe. Checked all settings. That's why it puzzles us alot.

Still no dice.

Need to check database first. If everything looks fine, I'll seek help again.

I think I need to study the code. Can't find anything relating to it in database.

Which file(s) should I look at first?
