Auto Update Currency Clarification

How does the Auto Update Currency work. I have currently set it to yes. The description is that if you set it to yes, it sets your store to automatically update currencies daily.

Question: Where does it update the currency from? Where does it get the currency exchange rate from?

The currency is updated from Yahoo!
