turn SEO on

and renamed .htaccess

When trying a product or category link, I get:

Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas?

Is your store at the root of your domain or in a subfolder ?

If the latter, have you edited the RewriteBase line in .htaccess ?

Is your server a windows server ? or nginx ?

The permissions might be incorrect (just a thought). As ar as I am aware, nginx does not use .htaccess files. So I assume you are using apache. Please copy and paste your web server error logs so we have some more info to go off of. If it is a linux server they are most likely located in /var/log/apache/error.log
