My site needs to first put manufacturers in the sitemap and secondly make it a priority page for google.
It is a custom template using 1.4.9.1

I just need to make Manufacturers/Brands visible in the sitemap on the website, category,product,information etc is there but not manufacturers or in my case "Artists".
Any ideas as to where in the files i can make this possible?
