Hello all ,

I am new in shopping cart system , normally i use Dreamweaver CS3 for all my web designs . Now this open cart is very much what i needed . The only problem is that there are templates that i nedd to modify and i am not very good at it . Any way , i have a site that i am working on it is http://www.lajackets.com this is just a working platform for me to do trial and error . But the real site will have something else .
First problem is that there is a bug that is interacting with the page description , That shows in the middle of the page , top of the IE explorer bar and also all the way at the bottom . I need to fix it , can someone help me with that . Also , can I edit the templates in DW CS3 ?

Thank you ,

Andy

Hi there

As for IE6, read the section on removing <?php echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>' . "\n"; ?> in
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... =15#p18166

As for DW and "working platform", I find it very useful to have my own local developer environment using XAMPP (http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/), a modified windows host file and then using the "Testserver" feature in DW.
Makes everything much easier ;-)

As for finding the right template… look in catalog\view\theme\default\template\… you'll have to figure which ones you'll need to edit. The footer for example is in catalog\view\theme\default\template\common\footer.tpl
DW should open any .tpl file, but the syntax highlighting is a little off, at least in DW-MX04.

Good luck
