I believe this is on my hosting end, but I am not sure how to track it down.

Problem:  All functions that require sending e-mail error out on me.

1. When clicking "submit" after creating a new account.
2. When clicking on "submit" from the "forgot password".
3. When clicking "Send" from Admin/Customers/Send Mail

Error (super generic):  "500 - Internal server error.  There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."

OpenCart Version: 1.1.7  fresh install (this has been happening for me with version 1.1 - 1.7)

My hosting company is edthosting.com

Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Update:

My hosting company responded, and recommended that I use CDOSYS.  This is the Microsoft mail sender.  They said it should work with most applications.

Should I try it?

change hosts.

CDOSYS is for ASP not PHP.

They don't have skill to setup a PHP server.
