The Opencart Documentation tells you to create a subdomain, which I have done. My main domain is picturesonwood.co.uk and I have created a sub-domain for one of my add on domains personalisedgifts.net which is now gift-shop.personalisedgifts.net. I've set up this as an additional store in the settings but it just goes to a 500 internal error. What have I done wrong?
I'm using Opencart version 1.5.6.4

I've solved my problem now. For anyone else with the same problem. Once you've created an add on domain or a sub domain you must point the 'document root' to where Opencart is installed. In my case it was /public.html/
Hooray!!  :bang:

So the instructions on page 1 of this thread on how to set up multi-store are still valid for 2.3.0.2? Just checking as the original instructions were posted in 2011.

It seems pretty simple. Basically looks like your domain needs to point to the directory where Opencart is installed and that's it? Am I oversimplifying it?

Thanks
