Here is the problem I have. My customer can perform checkout even if the item is not in stock. So if you go to view cart it will tell you the item is not in stock before you continue. But if you go straight to check out there is no warning anywhere. Even in the last step "Confirm Order" . Is there a way that a note will pop or something warning customer about not in stock product?

I have this checked. What it does it only warns the customer if he goes to view his cart before checkout. But if he goes straight to checkout there is no warning at all. I hoped there will be one right before he click payment button.

Well, in my latest v.1.5.6.x , it does not work, as you claim, regardless of, if
the Add to Cart Button or the Buy+Checkout Button is pressed, if the Quantity
ordered is larger than the existing Stock.

I think it is because you have checked "Stock Checkout" as no. Mine is yes , because customers can preorder and just wait till I get them in stock and ship it. Can you change to "Stock Checkout" - YES and go straight to checkout instead of "View Cart" and see if you have same problem?
