Hello everyone,
im just gonna ask you something and if you give me suggestions about it i will be very happy...
so i wanna upgrade my oc 1.5 to 2x, but im not sure would i do this successfully for that im gonna run a test with my website, its working good now but time to upgrade it
so, my questions is , i have tried to move it to my localhost and test myself there but could not manage to do it i have alredy a topic about this but tried everything i will not run on my localhost for some reason...ANYWAYS! i have a plan:
If i create a folder under my public_html folder for example named "test" and download and copy all my public_html files into it,
and create a test DB, also copy and rename my current DB.. so in this case will it run ? and can i test myself in this path ?
for example i will try to upgrade the system in this "test" folder,so will it work like that?
is this possible to do?

Hi,
yes should be possibly just try it... New folder in the root of your shop not cause your live shop.
But all should work on local server... I use for that XAMPP
Cheers

as like i said before, i created a folder and worked in it... nothing changed deleted or added on my original public_html
take a look to your both config.php. Make sure that your DB has the right credentials.
And maybe by accident ( when you created new store in the new directory) to the database was write wrong links. Check your DB oc_store table if links here are wrong edit it.
Cheers

i just fixed it guys thank you so much...
Looks like there was a mistake that i made while i copy or something idk,
but after restoring my public_html its solved...
also i have upgraded from 1.5.5.1 to 2.3.0.2 with a tool which i think converts also DBs too...
actually everything is good except this on the screenshot below,
https://ibb.co/bt8RMm
as you can see, some of my datas are looking weird like that, with the class names id names etc
for example text_no_results,
and date added and stuff looking like

You should check languages in your localization. Seems there is a problem. Because language folders was renamed.

Look at the original install/opencart.sql file for the oc_language and the oc_setting table for the languages as well as the admin/language and the catalog/language folders from the ZIP file that you downloaded from opencart.com .Troublemaker213 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2018 3:31 amso how they should be can you give me some examples ,
