I use Opencart 1.5.6.4. I would like to create a feed url that show the total number of orders on my store.
For example:
www.mystore.com/totalfeed
And the result show is in json format:
{"number":5226}
How can I create this feed?

Your route information is quite vague. What would be the original route name where the feed would be targeted to in order for JSON to return the results from Ajax and from which TPL filename and folder would the query originate from?

So, I think, we can use the default Opencart routing for this, not need custom URL.
I'd rather describe what I need. I'd like to buy a device, that shows the number of purchases in real time. This is it: http://www.smiirl.com/en/counter/custom#5D
And for this syncronisation, this device need to get data from a link in my store in json format. For example: http://api.smiirl.com/number
I want to syncronise the total number of orders.
