Ajax features will be available in the v1.0?

Why is this tool so important and would this help my cart?
I do believe Daniel is looking to add some ajax to OC 1.x eventually
As far as customizing products, the coolest site I've ever seen for that is http://www.personalizationmall.com. Would be cool to have something like that, but it will likely be done as a contrib since its not useful by the majority. So all these could easily be done as contribs for 0.7.x or 0.8.x
