Hello, I’m new here.

I just got OpenCart 1beta installed and it seems like a great application. Its running on wamp with Apache: 1.3.37 PHP: 5.2.5  MySQL: 4.1.22
In my quick look the first thing that I notice is that when the setting “Use URL Alias” is set, it does not seem to make any effect.
For example the URLS still look like this http://localhost/opencart1.0beta/index. ... duct_id=11

Is there something else I need to do to enable SEO friendly URLs? Or is just a beta bug or maybe I'm missing something.
I have mod_rewrite set and I also have Magento and Bakesale installed working with rewrite and the URLs.

Thanks

1.0 is beta and a completely new framework, so a lot of features are either partially broken or not fully implemented, url alias being one of them. I would suggest you wait for the 0.7.9 version. That will be the most stable, bug free version.

In the mean time I would suggest using the 0.7.8 version to start with or get the current svn version for the latest, most stable release for production use.

URL Alias works fine there and you can use David Gilberts "Auto URL Alias Generator" mod to create actual alias names
