Hi All,

I am new to OpenCart and I have installed Version 1.5.6.4 at http://www.magsgreetingcards.co.uk/shop. Everything seems to work fine in other web browsers except in Internet Explorer. I have tried it on 4 separate computers using a variety of versions of IE and most times when I go through the checkout process pressing continue, I get a dialog box and all it says is "error" and the title says "Message from Webpage". Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Which IE version are you using? Have you also tried on another device / computer to see if this issue could be reproduced? Have you made any WindowsUpdate for IE or any updates for .NET Framework 4x recently?

In addition, when using the browser console by using F12, when reproducing the event, is there any detailed error showing?

In the mean time, would it be possible to have the URL of your site in order to a possible capture of the problem you're reporting about?

Did you installed any contributions recently which involved either modification to the checkout process or as a separate module either for order totals, shipping module or payment module?

Thanks for your reply.

I haven't done any updates recently except for the auto updates which Windows does.
I have tried the checkout on 4 seperate computers using Internet Explorer

3 Computers using Windows 7, IE.11, All display errors.
1 Computer using Windows 8, IE.10, No errors.

So it would seem that the error is only on IE 11

When using the Console F12, I get the following error:
SCRIPT7002: XMLHttpRequest: Network Error 0x2eff, Could not complete the operation due to error 00002eff.
File: index.php

The URL for the shop is http://www.magsgreetingcards.co.uk/shop

I enabled the Flat Rate to the shipping and disabled all the rest. I will adjust this when I work out all the shipping methods.

This error is caused by port redirection over a private / public port issue from jQuery / JS rather than using an SSL port. The associated module you're using might require modification to redirect to the right URI location.

Can you suggest what steps to take?

I have installed a completely fresh install of version of Opencart 1.5.6.4 in a new directory /shop2/ and I have the same error without making any changes (complete default install).

Is it my computers or my do I need to change something on my cPanel? Are you getting the same error from my shop using IE11?

Thanks straightlight,

I followed your thought pattern and it is fixed now. I didn't find the fault but I did find a resolution.

My domain was routed through CloudFlare so I changed the Name Servers to point to the hosting server and now the error has gone.
