Hey there,

From last week, my website is very very slow and i dont know why. The last thing i do was like 1 month ago, was to add new products, and now without doing something the website starts do be very slow.

So here i am, asking your help, maybe someone had the same experience like me and know the answer for my question.

Before posting here, i was looking on google for answers, they are talking about plugin's, scripts etc, but i am not pro in coding, so i just do what i know to do. (deleting images, clear cache etc)

Opencart version? Theme information (is it customized)? Hosting (Dedicated, VPS or shared)?

Also how many products and categories do you have?

EDIT:
Just a had a quick look, looks to be a server issue, more 24seconds of waiting time. Where is the site hosted?

I see you are on opencart 1.5.5.1 try these this:

Disable product counts in Admin as System -> Settings -> Edit -> Option -> Category Product Count. Then install this mod: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=10999

you can also try indexing your database.

Like you said, opencart v1.5.5.1, and the theme it is customized.

I can confirm is not a problem with the hosting, anyway i contact my hosting services and ask if they have something wrong with all the services and they confirm me no. My website is hosted in Portugal.

I upload a different website in my host, and is working perfectly, so the problem is with my website.

I have arround 200 products or a bit more.

EDIT:

In admin mode is the same thing, very slow as well.

I disable the product count and upload the .xml and as well still the same.

Who is the host? and are you on vps, shared, or dedicated?

I would advise you to try the default theme first before doing anything else.

use this extension then go into admin, system settings your shop
choose options and find under products categorie count and set to no

now your shop should load much faster

Check what the tests on the following websites say:

http://webpagetest.org
http://gtmetrix.com

A high time to first bite would be server/script issues but there could also be other issues like asset loading.

Look at this as a decent fix....

https://github.com/shaman/opencart-mysql-cache
Easy to implement and free.

We also use iNitro by iSenseLabs, which I have to say is very good.
