I want to offer customers a one time discount on any order if they signup for the newsletter.
So I will use one of the newsletter mods to allow me to place a signup form on the homepage. Haven't seen one that offers any kind of discount but if they have an editable confirmation email I suppose I could add a coupon code to the the confirmation email?
Any suggestions or which newsletter mod to use that would make this possible?
I saw someone mention a mod that gave a 10% discount for newsletter signups but couldn't find it?

I did find one after searching a little harder called "newsletter popup & Subscribe automated coupon generator" that looked good.
Jonathons mod would work great and prob should be using mailchimp anyways for the added flexibility.

I checked around a little last night, there are multiple matching Mod's available, but not one is for free. If you have some knowledge, you could use a free one, then implementing it's coupon generation routine into the Form where the user registers to be in your list.
But the time you will spend for this is probably worth more than a few bucks...

New to Opencart (2.3.0.2), First post...
I've installed the Newsletter Subscription Discount extension. Via FTP. The files are all in place.
I'm not seeing it in admin, I thought it would be in extensions/order totals. Does something need refreshing or do I need to enable it somewhere?
Any advice appreciated.

Next time, link the Mod as well! 
In OC 2.3.x, the language Directory is no longer english, but en-gb
in the Admin and Catalog Sections. Move your Language Subs into the en-gb
Directory, and then delete the english/total/...Directory again.
You then activate the Module in the System/Users/User Groups/Topadmin Section,
if such a Setting now exists, then go to the Extension/Module Section and enable/edit the
Module. And then clear out your OcMod/VqMod Cache, to find out, if it works.
