How different 1.5.4 & 1.5.4.1? Can I update manually?

Postby CapriBlue » Thu Aug 23, 2012 6:56 pm

Hi, I'm a pretty beginner for Opencart.
I recently updated from 1.5.3.1 to 1.5.4. It was success but the Color and Looks for site was replaced to the original one and I had to change the php and other files again (For example, I changed the Highlight link to Red from Blue but after updating to 1.5.4, it was back to Blue).

Is there anyway (Patch?) to change the only different parts of 1.5.4 and 1.5.4.1?

Also, people are talking about VQmod(?). Is this necessary to install for Opencart?

Thank you.

It's actually very simple to upgrade as there were only three file changes:

/catalog/controller/payment/moneybookers.php
/catalog/controller/payment/pp_standard.php
/system/library/encryption.php

Upload those three and you'll be equivalent to 1.5.4.1.

Sorry, my response was late.
I upgraded as rph (Ryan) directed and that was very easy.

Thank you very much for fast help.
