Oh, just came upon something else. Any idea why I would get "no results" displayed when it says "showing 1 to 15 of 15"?

Hi,

I hope this is the right thread to post this in. I've read through and am not 100% clear on a couple of things that have been mentioned several times, so apologies in advance:

1. How do I upgrade 1.5.1 to 1.5.1.1
2. How do I upgrade a theme made for 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.1.1, or will it just work?

Thanks. OpenCart is the best ecommerce platform I have used in my career as a web designer. :-)

their is only one change in the db. you can reinstall and export the data via the admin.

then you need to resave all your extenmsions > modules and all your settings.

Hi,

So when you say reinstall, do you mean backup my store, delete my entire install, drop my db tables, reinstall v1.5.1.1 then import my store and reconfigure stuff? Just want to make sure I do it right.

Credit card functionality with eftpos to save payment gateway charges.

Do we have any functionality for this.

Also, Can we upgrade opencart 1.4.7 to 1.5.x?

I know I have asked this before, but is there an update as to when the ability to edit customers orders will be back?

(I didn't think there were any problems with the way it used to work)

I'm having odd problems with the featured items module in 1.5.1
What is happening is that only products that do no have any options assigned to them are found in the auto complete box.
If I add an item with out options it works and then I add them it stops but as soon as I remove the options it works again..

Anyone encounter this?

Also keen to see the return of the edit order function!

Cheers

*Edit - looks like the same thing is happening when i try to select related products.

What a headache upgrading to 1.5.1
IMHO if you don't have to and store is working, I don't recommend it.

Some issues we're facing:

1. USPS module is no longer working properly. The module shows small flat rate for like every order no matter the size

2. Offline Credit Card Module, we get a Syntax error. Guess we have to re-purchase the newer version?

3. New orders coming in automatically come to us with a status of "cancelled"
like this:

You have received an order.

Order ID: 484
Date Added: 08/08/2011
Order Status: Canceled

slowly bringing back my store from it's shutdown :(

I found it quite easy.
1. USPS does not show anything like that for me
2. Offline CC module works fine. Just need to download the latest update
3. New orders are updated to the status you set in the payment extension. You likely didn't set the Order status there.

just to tell everyone me future plans this year for opencart.

i'm going to add a few more features:

order editor
pdf invoices
better importer / export tool
google checkout
paypal express
fedex
maybe a few i can't remember at the moment.

fix all bugs until its super stable.

then add an automatic updater and extension installer.

i think then i will leave it a while and let the extensions all ready released catch up and just fix bugs when they come up.

maybe set an office up and hire people for free full time support.

I think people don;t like keep updating templates and languages all the time.

That all sounds great! I agree -- it's a hassle trying to keep all your extensions, templates, etc. updated for each store, so a longer stable period would be welcome.

Keep up the good work! :good:

well it's generally not a huge deal, it was just the change to the modules that was a pain. If we could avoid any major changes like that again in the 1.5 series it would be very nice.

Hi Daniel,
could you please tell me when (approximately) you will publish new version with import/export tool and order editor? And will be possible to integrate them (or update) into OC 1.5.1.1? These 2 extensions are very important for me. Thanks for your answer.

Hello Daniel

You are an amazing man! Wonderful to hear. Could you please tell us when you will release a next version which will contain the "Generate invoice"-button? Without this feature, we unfortunately can not launch our business.

opencartrules,

you should not post you can not launch a site because i have not done something. f***** hire somebody to do the modifications you require.

as i have said before their are 3 types of software and you never get something out of the box that covers 100% of your needs.
