Can you give us a REAL release date? You've been saying for weeks it would be any day now for the release to come but you keep postponing. We would like to get to work on the new version because it would take a lot work for me, and others, to get everything working on 150. If you give us a REAL release data instead of promises we might know what to expect.

Love how this has become the defacto "when will 1.5 be released" thread.

LOL, doesn't matter how many threads you lock, they're still gonna come a asking!

This whole thing is really unfortunate. Each time I'm impressed by Daniel, he sounds so convincing......
And then nothing happens... :)

lol guys the more you ask and the more he has to come and read these pointless threads the less time he has to spend developing it.

Anyway EVEN if he did release it tomorrow it wouldn't be good for anyone to use on a live shop for AT LEAST a few months, so sit back and chill out for a bit ;)

Actually he doesn't have to come here and read anything. He could just pound merrily away on his keyboard completely oblivious to these forums. That's probably what I would do anyway if I were developing something, get an initial feel from the community regarding what they want to see in the next version, put it down on paper, go to town on developing it, and ignore all forums until I was ready to get ideas for the next version. Then repeat the process all over again.

Kinda hard to finish something when it's constantly changing...

sounds great. Lets make this a forum only release too please and clearly labled as RC so we don't get people expecting it to be completely bug free.

There sure are going to be a lot of sad little boys and girls if Monday comes and goes with no presents under the tree...

wow looking great. some nice additions to the system. i've not followed opencart for a year or so now so great to see it's moving on really well and is still the greatest open cart system.

roll on monday

edit: slightly off topic but thought it didn't need a new thread for the question. i'm looking to being the first stages of a new online shop using open cart in the coming days. the business wont be ready to trade for months at least but i want to start the online promotion asap and start getting seo rolling and the site design done.

would it be best to use the latest stable version of opencart now and then upgrade to 1.5 later when it's released, or would waiting for 1.5 unstable version now be best and then upgrade to 1.5 later when it get patched etc before i start trading? the downside to 1.5 unstable now is if we start trading before 1.5 is stable then we've got a buggy store, but if we use a previous version now will we have extra work in the future when we could just wait a few more days?
