Ok guys,

Got a weird one for you, I’m not sure if this is related to the upgrade but that’s when my client noticed it, and I can’t find any info pertaining to it so here goes.

I upgraded 1.4.7 to 1.4.9.1 (and patch 1.4.9.2) as have done before.
My client noticed that when he opened a category with pagination set at 10 (to split page), the same product came up twice (once of both pages) and one was missing.

http://www.dcsportsshop.com/Pilates-and-yoga-equipment

Check out the website and the 'Foam Roller with PU zipped cover' product, it appears on both pages (one product is missing), but if you change the sort by to price or something else all items appear, so weird...

If I set the pagination to 20 (there are 15 products in cat) then everything was fine, all products shown?

I checked the files, all fine. (that i can see)

I compared the database to a clean install, structure all fine.(that i can see)

Has anyone ever seen this or have a clue why it’s happening?

Maybe a cache clearing of browser or an F5 key pressed to refresh the page? Those would be the solutions in case you followed all the steps right.

I'm using Open Cart 1.5.4.1 on http://www.importpieseauto.ro

I assume you missed the index.php and admin/index.php files
that is where the version number is set. No browser cache will change that

The EMAIL_PATTERN constant is not used in admin/controller/setting/setting.php

And it generates an error when you type an email with DASH ("-")

So you need to replace the lines 862 to 866 (or just download the included file) :

Code: Select all

    	$pattern = EMAIL_PATTERN;

    	if ((strlen(utf8_decode($this->request->post['config_email'])) > 96) || (!preg_match($EMAIL_PATTERN, $this->request->post['config_email']))) {
      		$this->error['email'] = $this->language->get('error_email');
    	}
by this :

Code: Select all

    	if ((strlen(utf8_decode($this->request->post['config_email'])) > 96) || (!preg_match(EMAIL_PATTERN, $this->request->post['config_email']))) {
      		$this->error['email'] = $this->language->get('error_email');
    	}
Question : why is there a "+" in the first part of the email pattern???
Does emails like this foo+bar@server.com exists??
define('EMAIL_PATTERN', '/^[A-Z0-9._%\-+]+@[A-Z0-9][A-Z0-9.-]{0,61}[A-Z0-9]\.[A-Z]{2,6}$/i');

No it isn't . That's why I posted it ;)

And there is 1 other file with the old $pattern :

catalog\model\checkout\order.php
Line 384: $pattern = '/^[A-Z0-9._%-+]+@[A-Z0-9][A-Z0-9.-]{0,61}[A-Z0-9]\.[A-Z]{2,6}$/i';
Line 387: if (strlen($email) > 0 && preg_match($pattern, $email)) {

hope it will be added in next release ;)
