I tried installing OpenCart 3.0.3.1 with the cPanel using Softaculous and Installatron. Of the two, so far the Installatron installation has been more bug free. One thing I did like about Softaculous was the ability to choose the database name and prefix and some other parameters myself which was not an option in Installatron.
No matter what I did I could not get the install done with Softaculous to accept the API "Secret". The install with Installatron worked every time. No idea why.
More than once after installing and removing OpenCart with Softaculous, a clean install would have product data that I had entered in a previous install. I found this rather bizarre and again had no explanation for it. It did not happen with Installatron.
The best is still to install without using third party software if possible.
Thanks for the tip!
I have used Installatron for Magento and OpenCart for many years, but I will definitely try an uploaded installation of OpenCart 3.0 to see if it still has the checkout bug in it.
