I'm fairly new this and I'm trying to narrow my shipping to only the US. I've seen areas about "disabling" each country but that seems so tedious. I've also seen some SQL adjustments. Can anyone provide me with an easy step by step on how to make one quick change? Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.

You don't really need to disable or remove all the countries you don't ship to, just set your shipping method to only be available to USA, and then customers outside that area will see the "no shipping options" error message. You can change that text here if you want to:
/catalog/language/YOURLANGUAGE/checkout/checkout.php
If you prefer to actually get rid of all the countries from the Country dropdown, then you'll need to delete them or disable them in the database. The easiest way to do this is to run a database query to disable all the countries, then re-enable the ones you want manually. I posted a MySQL query to do that earlier today, in this topic:
