Hi,

Yeah, the question is: can I import a database from an installation of 1.5.6 to a new, clean install och 3.0.2.0 (of course dropping all existing tables before importing).

Cheers,
Jorem

No, you can't. Database must be converted.

Using the upgrade engine from Opencart as well as increasing the max_input_vars setting from php.ini should already handle the task just fine. However, always make a full backup and database before proceeding.

Thanks!

But I decided not to cut corners by relying on quick fixes with various scripts. I installed a clean version of 3.0.2.0 and manually adding the products, categories, etc. Time consuming, but worth it.
