Hi all,

to use seo url feature in open cart 3.0.2.0, I renamed htaccess.txt file to .htaccess. like what I read in documentation, but when activating seo url option from server settings, and try to enter the product page this message appears:
"Error 404 - Not Found

The document you are looking for may have been removed or re-named. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance."

but url in the address bar is fixed.

what should I do?

Use an extension from the marketplace to activate SEO. It is better than what the core provides. ;)

The SEO extensions subject is one of the biggest one and the most requested on opencart.com . I would suggest looking at the following and the same for all extensions you'd be looking for:

- Version compatibility
- Positive feedbacks
- Highest ratings

on the marketplace.

Please double check if this due to the file name.
it should be
.htacess

Code: Select all

.htaccess
;)

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

Also take note that the .htaccess file may not be displayed from FTP once the file initiated. You may want to keep a backup of this file or rather look from your host file manager console for the visible file or from an FTP client that will allow this file to be seen, if the case.

Aha, so it was a htaccess problem for him. I was hoping he found a good extension. :)
