I have installed a couple of free extensions. 'Ajax Live Search' and 'Ajax Live Options'
The Install.xml file in the ocmod.zip package fails to write to the various files. I can modify the files manually but wondered if the reason for the failure is due to missing permissions and if so what do I need to do to grant permissions to admin installer?
No OC version posted. Ensure your system/storage folder is outside your public_html folder and to modify your config.php and admin/config.php file's DIR_STORAGE new destination. As for your .htaccess file, ensure to remove the entire line where it says: ^system/storage .
As for the folder permissions, follow the install.txt file from your downloaded OC ZIP file from opencart.com in order to set folder permissions recursively to the required destinations.
This should resolve the issue.
