I have a product with the following options:

- Product blue
- Product Red
- Accessory 1
- Accessory 2
- Accessory 3

Currently, I show these options with 1 option group and selecting an option is required.

However I want to split these options in 2 option groups, like so:

Option group 1:
- Product blue
- Product Red

Option group 2:
- Accessory 1
- Accessory 2
- Accessory 3

I want this, so that I can add a text message above the second option group. Something like "Choose an optional accessory".

The problem is that the option from group 1 may be sold seperately, but also the option from group 2 may be sold seperately.

Now, I can set "Required" for both option groups to "No", but I need the client to at least select an option from either group1 or group2.

If I set both option groups "Required" to be "Yes", than it also won't work.
Any idea's, how to accomplish this?

1. Make both options as required
2. Add an additional option in both option group something like "Not Required".

I don't know exactly what you mean.

Let me explain with an example: https://www.hulpmiddelenshop.nl/drinkbeker-novo-cup.

Here you see a product with 2 options. If you don't select any option and order, you will get a notice that one of the options is required.

The first option is the cup itself
The second option are 100 straws, but without the cup!

A client can order the cup, the straws, or both.

But some customers think that they will get a cup when they order the straws.

Therefore, I want to add a text above the second option, for example "Extra options:".

This is just a simple example. This product for example has many more options: https://www.hulpmiddelenshop.nl/conisch ... en-handvat. In this case the words "Extra options:" should be after the second option.

Any idea's how to do this?

I see what you meant on the first post. You are requiring to create option groups and not only options with option descriptions . However, to save you the trouble of expanding your database, perhaps using relevant product option names based on what's been selected to show other portions as described similarly to your first post's example could help:
