I'm in real need of some help. However I will already admit it's not going to be an easy one as it's a very customised setup.
I've got a OC2 multisite setup and all seems to be working "ok" (I wouldn't say perfect) on the main site. However, the others won't add products to the cart or even throw the red error if options haven't been selected. Sometimes they will, but these then won't show in the minicart automatically and a page refresh or navigation to another page is require to update the minicart.

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased counters are caused by posted redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.
I hope you are a developer so I can suggest you some changes here:
You should try it by refreshing your cart section to reflect changes on your cart. It can be done by using ajax. If you are not technical then you should go to switching with default theme.
