Hello there,
I created custom_fileld for customer information on my Opencart site. The characters appear correctly when these sections are displayed on the site.

Example:

But I need to export certain orders every day. When exporting as xls, Turkish and Russian characters are corrupted. I checked the database. records appear to be corrupted.

Example:

Table character set: UTF-8_general_ci

How can I solve this problem? I changed character sets etc but I don't know much about it. I would be glad if you help.

Hi, I tested it in versions 2.1.0.1 and 2.3.0.2. I get the same error in all of them. I think it's a general problem. Can't we find a solution to this?

No, records are NOT corrupted. They're saved in unicode format.

Again, there's nothing wrong with database records. Of course, if you do direct export, everything will be saved as is. But in your case you need to decode first, THEN save in desired format. For this you need some coding skills or you can always ask for commercial support.

Thank you for interest.
I have one more question.
Is the section regex used for this? can there be a rule written with a rule written there?

Regex is a more complex check, nothing more. You can't convert with it.
